pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides….

From: Sophereth at Kirjath Sepher

To: those that would be worshippers

. The Lord is very plain and clear about where we, as His people, fail. He is very blunt with us, telling us, correcting us, so we can see our failings, our sin, and repent. and go on into maturity in Him, thereby fulfilling His ultimate will and purpose for us, no matter the cost….  He does this for our own good! and for His purposes for us!

. There was something in the inheritance of each tribe that they didn’t drive out. Numbers 33:52,53,55,56: Then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places: and ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and dwell therein: for I have given you the land to possess it. But if you will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell. Moreover it shall come to pass, that I shall do unto you, as I thought to do unto them.

. Kitron. Strongs Concordance # 7003 OT. from 6999. fumigative. 6999 rather ident. with 7000 through the idea of fumigation in a close place, thus driving out the occupants; to smoke i.e. turn into fragrance by fire (espec. as an act of worship) burn (incense, sacrifice) (upon) (altar for) incense, kindle, offer incense, a sacrifice. 7000 inclose-join. 7002 from 6999 perfume-incense. 7004 from 6999 a fumigation, sweet incense, perfume. 7008 from 6999 a fume i.e. cloud-smoke, vapour.

Galatians 5. enemies of worship! enemies of all kinds! in every one of us!

. Kitron was Zebulon’s inheritance! Kitron was the very fumigative power that would drive out every obstacle! every vexing! Kitron was the very fragrance, the very perfume, the very smoke, the vapour, that would drive out Zebulon’s enemies! All he had to do was let it loose! All he had to do was to sound! All he had to do was to bow, to humble himself, to not be afraid, to not want his other gods, to not want his own way, all he had to do was to worship. Then the harvest, the fruit of his labor, wouldn’t be severed from him. Zebulon’s inheritance was worship.
