. this morning I call, I cry, I bid, I publish, to Israel. to all of Israel. both sticks. both houses. Ephraim and Judah: Concerning the feasts of the Lord, I proclaim these to be the holy convocations of the God of Israel. these are HIS feasts. HIS holy convocations. HIS public meetings. HIS holy, dedicated, sanctified, set apart, corporate worship days. these are the times for the GATHERING TOGETHER OF THE CONGREGATION. public meetings. the gathering together of God’s people. the saints. in HIS name. as the corporate temple. to worship HIM. to sing to HIM. to teach our children and grandchildren about HIM. to read. to teach. to preach. to rehearse everything that HE HAS DONE, and everything that HE WILL DO.
. I have, and I am, and I will proclaim these to you in their seasons, as the year rolls around. yesterday and today and the few days following, are just brief glances.
. yesterday’s post had to do with the spring feasts. these tell of HIS FIRST coming. they start at the first month with Calvary, salvation by HIS blood, and coming out of the world system. Passover,
. and end up with the infilling of the Holy Ghost, and the beginning and duration of the church age. Pentecost.
. the spring feasts have been fulfilled. they still speak to us prophetically. we still rehearse them. we still remind ourselves and our children and grandchildren, of what HE HAS DONE.
. today’s post has to do with the fall feasts. they are prophetic. these tell of HIS SECOND coming. they have not yet been fulfilled. they will be fulfilled as the day changes from the 6th day into the 7th day, and then the eighth day of eternity.
. on the new moon of the seventh month. the number 7 stands for spiritual perfection. this feast is the feast of Trumpets.
. the First Trumpet at Sinai. Exodus 19:16. The voice of the trumpet grew exceedingly loud so that all the people in the camp trembled.
. the Last Trumpet. this is the last trumpet that God will blow at the last Yom Teruah. (day of blowing, or day of Trumpets.) at the last Trumpet, the dead in Messiah will rise to meet HIM in the air. 1Corinthians 15:51,52. We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed…at the last trumpet. 1Thessalonians 4:16,17. For the Lord Himself will come down…with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Messiah will rise first…
. the Great Trumpet. Isaiah 27:13. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Great Trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the Lord in the holy mountain in Jerusalem.
Zechariah 9:14. And the Lord shall be seen over them, and HIS arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord God shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.
. Matthew 24:30,31. And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
. we gather together at this feast, with our children, to worship HIM, and to sing to HIM. to read about HIM, and to teach about HIM. to preach about HIM. to eat and to drink together, in communion and fellowship with HIM and each other. rehearsing and celebrating what HE WILL DO. Trumpets.
. there you have it. again. the WHEN of worship.
