The Intercessor: “I thirst!” one ran with a sponge dipped in vinegar…

From: Sophereth at Kirjath Sepher

To: those that will follow Him through the valley…

To: those who love not their own life even unto death…

To: those that cannot turn back now…

. we have ‘suddenly’ entered a time of birthing intercession like I have never witnessed.

. ‘suddenly’ (although the burden has been carried for lifetimes (generations for some of us), there is ‘sudden’ movement, like travail on a woman. we have to bear down now. though none go with us, yet we will follow…no turning back…no turning back…

. lets look at Yeshua The Intercessor.

. lets look to Yeshua, the Author and the Finisher.

. He is our Example. He is the Real Deal. He is the Real Truth. He shows us the way ‘it’ really is. the way ‘it’ is done…

. He shows us what real intercession is. by Example.

. for those of you that are called to this birthing intercession: to those that will be used by God for this birthing intercession: to those that will be willing to follow Him whithersoever He goeth: this is your destiny! this is the reason you were born! this is what all of the wounding and suffering and battling was for! other ‘things’ will be left undone now. other ‘things’ that you want to do, and other ‘things’ that take up your thoughts and your time, will be laid aside now. there is no ‘going here and doing that’ now. there is no room for anything else but this. this cannot be stopped. there is no way out now.

. Isaiah 53.

.  who has believed and who is believing and who will believe our report? to whom has and is and will the arm of the Lord be revealed?

. …grow up before Him, a tender plant…a root out of dry ground…no form or comeliness…no beauty to be desired…

. …despised and rejected of men…a man of sorrows…acquainted with grief…we hide our faces from him…despised…we esteemed him not…

. …surely he hath born our grief…carried our sorrows…we esteem him stricken, smitten of God, afflicted…

. …wounded for our transgressions…bruised for our iniquities…chastisement of our peace on him…with his stripes we are healed…

. …we like sheep, all gone astray…turned every one to his own way…the Lord laid on him…the iniquities of us all…

. …oppressed…afflicted…opened not his mouth (God! forgive me, and others, that have opened our mouths at the pain, at the oppression, at the suffering!!!)… a lamb to the slaughter, a sheep before her shearers…dumb…opened not his mouth…

. …taken…prison…judgement…cut off out of the land of the living…stricken for the transgression of the people…

. …his grave with the wicked…with the rich…done no violence…no deceit in his mouth…

. …it pleased the Lord to bruise him (one morning years ago, when this was beginning to dawn on me, I cried incredulously: Lord, does it please you to bruise me??? I cried for hours…and stumbled around in this room at the sorrow that He would bruise me, but at the revelation of it…I had always sought Him and prayed for Him to give me relief from ‘it’, to give me deliverance from ‘it’, to get rid of the suffering of ‘it’.)

. Yeshua our Messiah. the intercessor. made to be the offering. paid the price to the full. willingly. “Father, let this cup pass from me…yet, not my will but thine be done”…. an angel came from heaven and strengthened him…agony in the garden…sweat like great drops of blood falling to the ground…

. he took up his cross. he poured out his life. at the last, he cried out: “I thirst”. one ran and got a sponge dipped in vinegar…strength for the last minutes…his soul was made an offering…out of his side came blood and water…

. the ekklesia was birthed…his bride was birthed…

. Yeshua. our Messiah. our Intercessor. our Example.

. read the book. then be the book. intercession comes from wounds. from trauma. from bruising. from stripes. from beating. from your life’s blood being poured out. from injustice, not justice. from not being able to do anything about it. from helplessness, not vigor. from our weakness not our strength. from our inability, not our ability. from the place that HE has seen fit to form within us…

. birth comes when there is no way out. from pangs. from pressure. from bearing down.

. we as intercessors, as we follow the example of our Great Intercessor, are in the last minutes of this age. there is no way out now. it is here. we have ‘suddenly’ entered a time of birthing intercession like I have never witnessed. a new day, a new age, the kingdom is being birthed. Sons will be birthed right now as it gets darker and darker. everything else will be laid aside now. this will be our one focus now. we will bear down now. our Example, the One that went before us, our Saviour, will help us. angels will come to our aid. here at the last, as we cry out: “I thirst!” one will run with a sponge dipped in vinegar…strength for these last minutes…

  1. Yeshua did more than just suffer. He laid hold on spiritual realities in the birthing process of the ekklesia. It is no different today. He was the example, the forerunner, then. The spiritual realities are that those who carry His Spirit are those that are the forerunners into the next, and final, movement here on earth.

It is seen that for one to suffer unjustly wrecks the unjust that cause the suffering. Time and time again this is witnessed in Holy writ. Yeshua Himself disarmed principalities and powers through His suffering and came through the portal, unable to die, and to rule over His oppressors. In the spiritual, the suffering allows the battle to shift and be won, especially if it is needless or unnecessary. The sure mercies of David.

David suffered under Saul. The battle shifted and it prepared the way for him to become king. Elisha suffered and his oppressors were punished by a bear. Suffering in the spiritual is not for naught, but it works to the advantage of the righteous over the unjust. Justice may tarry, but it does not linger forever. The enemy brings the sword down upon their own head.

We are intercessors. Let us be wise in the battle as was Yeshua, and bring the victory in our wake.

It is time to pull down principalities and powers and strongholds. Intercession is key. Lately I’ve witness a wave of prisoners being set free. It is happening at a pace I have never beheld in this life. An army of dry bones is beginning to stand up. I am amazed at the wisdom and power of Yeshua, meek soul that He was, and is.
