. through John’s eyes, we are going to ‘Come up hither!’, and look through the open door into heaven.
. we will find out what the will of God is in heaven, so we will know what the will of God is in the earth.
. as we go through this book of Revelation, you will notice that there is a pattern in this book. the pattern is this: worship. judgement. worship for that righteous judgement.
. we will see how the Father and the Son identify themselves, we will see who they are. we will see what they call themselves. thereby knowing how we should identify them, what we should call them, how we should address them.
. this is the only book in the bible that promises a blessing just for being read out loud and heard.
. the number 7 is the ruling number in this book. i.e. 7 candlesticks, churches, seals, trumpets, thunders, vials, Spirits, stars, etc. also 7 No mores: no more sea, no more sorrow, no more crying, no more pain, no more curse, no more night, no more death.
. Genesis speaks of the creation of the sun, the entrance of sin into the world, the curse pronounced, Satan’s triumph, the exclusion from the “tree of life.”
. Revelation tells of a place where there will be no need of the sun, sin banished, no more curse, Satan overthrown, admission to the “tree of life”.
. the above three notes are from the Thompson Chain Reference bible. Page 4288.
. I will show you how to enter in to this endtime, heavenly, prophetic worship yourself.
. if you have known unrepented of, sin in your life, DO NOT attempt to enter in to this. I believe that would be dangerous. this is holy.
. what I will write from this book is for those who live in a spirit of repentance – current with God. those whose lives are wholly given, given to Him. king/priests.
. starting in verse 4, chapter 1, we see John beginning to tell who He is: from Him which is, which was, and which is to come; faithful witness, first begotten of the dead, prince of the kings of the earth, He loves us, washed us from our sins in His own blood, made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Behold, He cometh with clouds; every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.
. then the Lord Himself begins to speak and tell us Who He Is: Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. which is, and was, which is to come, the Almighty. the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last.
. He is in the midst of the seven candlesticks, one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and His hair white as snow, His eyes as a flame of fire; His feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; His voice as the sound of many waters. He has in His right hand seven stars: and out of His mouth goes a sharp twoedged sword: His countenance is as the sun shining at noonday.
. He says: Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am He that liveth, and was dead; and behold, I am alive forever more. Amen. and have the keys of hell and of death.
. the Father and the Son, in chapter 1 of this book, have begun to identify themselves. they have begun to tell us who they are. what they call themselves.
. now. in your time alone with the Lord, begin to speak His own prophetic, endtime words about Himself, back to Him. our own words, our own spontaneous worship words are wonderful. there is a time and place for spontaneity. but how much better HIS words that HE has spoken about HIMSELF? as we stand in the ministry office of king/priest, as we stand before the God of the whole earth, as we stand before the throne, let us take His own prophetic, end time words about Himself that He has given us, and speak and sing those very words back to Him…
. in worship.
