none of us have ever quite gotten over the surgery…

From: Sophereth at Kirjath Sepher

To: those that have never quite gotten over the surgery…

. Genesis 1:26,27. let us make man in our image…after our likeness…God blessed them, said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply and replenish…

. Genesis 2:7,15,18,21,22,23,24. and the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul. …the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden…the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an helpmeet…the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; and the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. and Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

. whether we realize it or not, whether we understand it or not, whether we have ever been taught that this is what our drive, our need is or not,

. none of us have ever quite gotten over the surgery…

. because the Lord God said: It is not good that the man should be alone,

. we still long to be one again. to be complete again.

. we still long for the bridegroom/bride relationship, that will make us one again. complete again.

. we still long for the intimate relationship with our counterpart,

. to make us one again,

. to make us whole again.

. it’s the only place fruitfulness comes from.

. it’s the only place multiplication comes from.

. it’s the only place replenishing come from.

. it’s the only place rest comes from. it is our resting place.

. the intimate relationship.

. between bride and bridegroom.

. none of us have ever quite gotten over the surgery…
