From: Sophereth at Kirjath Sepher

To: the counters in Israel.

To: the prophetic scribes.

To: the prophetic writers.

. Leviticus 23:15,16. And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the Lord.

. this is called ‘counting the Omer’.

. here we have the number 7 again. 7. 7 sevens. morrow after the 7th 7. 50.

. count. Strongs OT# 5608. sapar. a primitive root. to score with a mark as a tally or record. i.e. by implication to inscribe. also to enumerate; intensively to recount, i.e. celebrate: commune, count, account, declare, number, penknife, reckon, scribe, shew forth, speak, talk, tell, tell out, writer.

. the days of the prophetic process from Passover to the 50th day, Pentecost (pentecost means 50), at the instruction of the Lord, is to be counted, celebrated, inscribed, marked, tallied, recorded, declared, numbered, from Passover to Pentecost, the 50th day, every day is to be counted, every year.

. 7 is the number of completion.

. 50 is the number of jubilee or deliverance. it is the ‘issue’ of 7×7 and points to deliverance and rest following on as the result of the perfect consummation of time.

. I have quoted the above two lines from Number in Scripture. E.W. Bullinger. page 268.

. omer. Strongs OT #6016 from 6014. properly a heap. i.e. a sheaf; also an omer, as a dry measure. omer. sheaf.

. 6014. to heap. figuratively to chastise (as if piling blows) to gather grain. bind sheaves, make merchandise of.

. the prophetic process from Passover to Pentecost (50) is a ‘certain’ time of the year. every year.

. what is God’s prophetic purpose in this ‘certain’ time every year?

. why does God instruct us to ‘count’ the days to the 50th day every year?

. every year since I have kept the feasts of the God of Israel (since the early 90’s), the omer count has been the most difficult time of the year for me spiritually.

. I remember when ‘it’ started, as the ‘blows’ were piling up, I would question the Lord so many times during the omer count every year: “What is this Lord?, what is going on here with me, to me, this time every year, Lord?”

. I never understood why until this year.

. an understanding is beginning to come.

. I will count, celebrate, mark, inscribe, write, record and recount this prophetic understanding of the omer count, as the Lord leads, as it is revealed to me, for these next remaining days until Pentecost.

. forgive me when and where I falter in this difficult time.

. the word ‘sapar’ of Strongs OT #5608 is the root word of my hebrew name Sophereth. female scribe.

.  the prophetic process of this ‘certain’ time is to be inscribed and written, marked and scored, celebrated, counted and recounted, daily, every year, by the people of a prophetic nation. Israel.

. the instruction for this counting is given to a prophetic nation. Israel.

. who is the Israel of God?

. redeemed gentile. redeemed jew. the one new man.

. to be continued…
