Then Came Amalek. The Red Spirit. dor va dor. generation to generation.

From: Sophereth at Kirjath Sepher

To: the endtime people.

To: every generation.

. Exodus 17.

. the children of Israel tempted the Lord at the waters of Meribah.

. He called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the Lord, saying, Is the Lord among us, or not?

. Then came Amalek.

. Amalek is Esau.

. the Red spirit.

. Amalek comes from the root Amal.

. Strongs #5998, 5999, 6001. to work severely and with irksomeness: labour, take labour, labour in. wearing effort: hence worry whether of body or mind; grievance, iniquity, labour, mischief, miserable, misery, pain, painful, perverseness, sorrow, toil, travail, trouble, wearisome, wickedness. toiling, labourer, sorrowful: that laboureth, that is a misery, had taken labour, wicked, workman.

. Israel tempted God.

. Then came Amalek.

. and fought with Israel.

. when Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed.

. when Moses let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.

. Aaron and Hur held up the hands of Moses until the battle was won.

. and the Lord said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.

. and Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovah-nissi:

. for he said, Because the Lord hath sworn that the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.

. my KJV says this in the references down the middle of the page:

. Massa: Temptation.

. Meribah: Chiding or Strife.

. Jehovah-nissi: The Lord my banner.

. Because: Because the hand of Amalek is against the throne of the Lord, therefore

. the Lord hath sworn: the hand upon the throne of the Lord.

. that is a little confusing, but that is what my references say.

. this is it in a nutshell:

. Amalek, the Red spirit is generational.

. it passes from generation to generation.

. dor va dor in hebrew.

. Amalek is at war with Israel, in every generation.

. the Lord is at war with Amalek, in every generation.

. wherever we have tempted and chided and tested and had strife with the Lord,

. wherever our hand has been against the throne of the Lord,

. then comes Amalek.

. and our children have done, and will do the same.

. that is why the Lord has sworn that He will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.

. until somebody repents.

. in every generation.
